HPY's intelligent ore sorting machines, on average, see a 1/3 reduction in water usage compared to traditional ore sorting machines. By the end of 2021, HPY's machines have saved a total of 360,000 tons of water, in addition minimizing the use of harmful chemicals that may affect the water supply.
Since our inception in 2015, we have continually found ways to upgrade our ore sorting machines and have reduced our core sensor's energy consumption by 35%. From 2022 and beyond, we aim to continue to decrease the amount of energy used by our core sensor and our machines.
Every year, we challenge our team to complete eight projects to improve our ore sorting technology and help solve low grade mining projects.
As leaders in the mining industry, we have sought and developed our own Sustainable Development Plan following the characteristics set by the mineral and mining industries for smarter mines: low carbon operations, green services, sustainability, and safety.
We have established a group to develop a strategic guidance program for energy conservation and emission reduction. As a result, it helped promote 78 energy conservation admission reduction projects during 2021, achivieng an indirect saving of 10,000 tons of fuel for transporation. Sustainability
Mining, specifically ore sorting, uses up a lot of energy. According to a study conducted by the IEA, mining consumes up to 3% of global energy production annually1. HPY’s machinery is meant to lower the amount of energy by removing waste rock early in the process so that other stages in the beneficiation process, such as grinding, milling, and flotation, do not use as much energy.
